A Call for Discernment: Justin Peters Exposes Word-Faith Cult
When you walk into your kitchen for breakfast in the morning, do you view all liquids you encounter the same way? Does that jug of pretty yellow liquid under the sink look just as good as the orange liquid in the refrigerator? What’s the difference? Well, there’s a pretty potent difference between a glass of Mr. Clean and a glass of orange juice. We discern the difference, and we refuse to drink what was intended for floor cleaning.
Why do we view things any differently in the realm of ideas? We all pass judgment on what we see and hear come out of people’s mouths, or what they write in articles, books or on blogs. The opponents of what I write make major judgments all the time about “ODM’s” and the “wrongness” of what we are doing. There’s great mockery that surrounds the word “discernment”, yet that’s exactly what they are all attempting to do.
The truth is we can’t swallow everything that is handed to us in the spiritual realm either. But our standard can’t keep shifting. Either the Word of God is our standard or we have to admit that we are dealing in the shadowy and shifty world of relativism and pragmatism.
This video, posted by PuritanFellowship.com, directly takes on the Word-Faith cult that has produced Todd Bentley. People believe they are consuming what is wholesome and true, but they are, in fact, consuming toxic substances spiritually speaking. The message from Justin Peters is posted in segments at the website.
